Sophie Okonedo OBE (born 11 August 1968) is an English actress. She received an OBE in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours. Okonedo began her film career in 1991 in the British coming-of-age drama Young Soul Rebels before appearing in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995) and Stephen Frears' Dirty Pretty Things (2002).
