Good movie with a fantastic soundtrack ( as expected ) 😀 Rami Malek a perfect copy. The rest of the band: I really don't know what to say, expected more from the them.

Very well directed and coordinated, a very good performance of Rami Malek. This film is the ultimate biography of Queen the band.

The bi-erasure is a major bummer and I was very excited to see Sasha Baron Cohen play Freddie, but it turns out Rami Malek was a brilliant alternative and the whole movie is just perfect for the big screen. I had goosebumps or tears in my eyes for most of the movie.

Beautiful movie, but unreal Freddie Mercury personality was shown (too soft lika a snowflake, while Freddy was a badass and a fire) . 🙂

Contrary to the overall opinion, I found the movie quite good. I dunno Queen’s and Freddie’s story that well to confirm if it is a whitewashed version or not (probably is), what I do know is that I grow up listening to Queen and this film is a great homage to the band and most of all to one of the most charismatic and talented lead singers of all time. On top of this, you get an jaw-dropping performance by Rami Malek that, at times, makes you forget that you’re not watching the Great Freddie himself. For this reason, the movie grabs you right from the start in a mix of emotions that range from cheer happiness to deep sadness, salted by a lot of nostalgia. Spoiler Alert: It is impossible to not feel goose bumps and an infinite sadness for not being present watching the recreation of 1985 Live Aid concert! —- Do yourself a favour and watch this movie in a cinema theater.

Critics can pan it all they want but it’s impossible to leave the theater without an extra spring in your step (and a few tears running down your cheek). The production was a nightmare, the timeline seems a little off, and a fair amount of whitewashing was done to protect the Queen brand, but give me Rami Malek as Freddy Mercury and Gwilym Lee as Brian May any day of the week ! Great graphics and a killer soundtrack. Go ahead, sing along. They will rock you.
