Just wow! Amazing docudrama mini-serie that manages to narrate and dissect the Chernobyl disaster in just five one-hour episodes. The plot, the cinematography, the pace and music along with the great acting from all cast transport us to Prypiat in 1986 and bring back the memories that the older than 40 (like myself) have from this dark period in the old Soviet Union. Each episode has its own strength, building the suspense on the ‘reason why’ almost till the end. The last episode is the ‘cherry on top’, like a ‘Nuclear Reactors for Dummies’ class where everyone in the room finishes with a double PhD in Nuclear Physics and Chemistry. Boro, xenon, graphite, with or without water, you name it, seems like I’ve been studying the Periodic Table and chemical reactions for as long I remember. :))

One of the great mini-series of the year (if not the best). 5 stars would also be a deserving rating yet I felt that because it's not with russian actors / language it takes a little of authenticity therefore the half star less...
